A Citizenship Tool
“The environment is a set of conditions, rules, influences, physical, chemical, biological, social, cultural and urban interactions that allows, urges and rules life in all its forms.”
The goal is for BASE to become an instrument for building good citizenship, seeking an integration and experience in the practice of the fundamental principles of the Scout Movement.
The Scout Region of Goiás, in a partnership with Paulo de Tarso Foundation, is committed to achieve a major project: THE SCOUT BASE OF RESEARCH AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION. This important project is located in the preservation area of Paulo de Tarso Foundation, between the cities of Nerópolis and Terezópolis de Goiás.
Scouting events are planned: courses, camping, excursions, joint efforts and partnerships with nonprofit organizations and private and public educational institutions to expand the scope of environmental education, as well as the study of the Cerrado flora and fauna.
The BASE objectives are structured on four pillars:
- ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
- ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Our unit is designed to teach the best practices in preserving, understanding, and respecting the environment by supporting research and environmental education, preservation and scouting activities.
